Here are the things you would need to make a coin purse from jeans – a pair of old denim jeans (with back pockets), fabric glue, scissors, zipper, decorative items like glitter, colored glue and rhinestones etc.

The very first step is to take your old jeans and cut the back pockets if it has any. Now take one pocket face down and lay it down on the clean surface. Apply regular fabric glue on each side of the pocket except the top side. Zipper will be placed at the top side. You will keep your change through that zipper only. If you do not understand this step, simple draw a thin line from the top right corner of the coin purse to the bottom right corner using your fabric glue. Now do the same thing at the left side as well. After that join the bottom right and bottom left corners using the fabric glue.

Now put the second pocket face up on the first pocket which is face down. Apply glue on the second pocket. Press strongly with both your hands in order to seal the tow pockets with each other. Now wait for at least 3 hours to let the glue dry. Attaching the zipper is not that technical a process. You can simply do it by using the instruction given on the manual of zipper. Fix the zipper on the top side of your purse and again wait for one hour.
This is the last step for making your coin purse. Once the purse is dried enough with a zipper on it, start decorating the purse in order to make it look beautiful and presentable. You can decorate as per your wish using the different decorative material. If you wish you can also add one chain as the handle in your coin purse and that is it. Your very economical coin purse using the old pair of jeans has been prepared. You can use it anywhere you wish. This also makes a good gift for someone as it shows the care and affection.
